February 22 - "Career Watch: Taking Aim at Young Mainframers," Kristine Harper, leader of zNextGen, discusses its efforts to recruit and retain young professionals for careers in enterprise IT.
"As a young female working on the mainframe, I have found that there are very few opportunities to network and socialize with peers in the business because of the age difference. I think the chance to network, communicate and socialize for educational and professional reasons is very appealing for the zNextGen mainframers out there."
February 8 - "WorkWise: Teaming - What Some Younger Workers Want," an article from WorkWise that includes an interview with SHARE volunteer Kristine Harper.
Kristine is "actively engaged in the community as project manager of zNextGen, a networking and mentoring team of 550 younger and older workers at SHARE, a volunteer trade association, who discuss pressing industry issues."
